Living Canvas at IMMA is a partnership between IMMA and IPUT Real Estate, that brings Europe’s largest digital art screen to the grounds of IMMA. The screening programme presents contemporary art films and moving image works.

The Liberties Festival in partnership with IMMA Horizons and IMMA Collections Department will programme a community screening  of a number of existing works during the week of our festival this summer. If you are from the Liberties, connected to it and have created work relating to it or the community, we welcome your submissions.

Key criteria is that the work needs to be suitable resolution for screening, have content which can be viewed by all ages, have subtitles as well as opening and closing credits. If you feel this work fits the bill, please send Festival Director Michael McDermott (michael@thelibertiesfestival.com) a link* to the work with a brief bio and overview of the material by Friday March 27th.

* Please note only a link with, or without password, will be accepted.

File types:

Mov, H.264 or H.265 they can be converted on our side if needed.

We won’t be playing back programmed content in Apple Pro Res codec’s.

A hi res h.245 mp.4 is perfect as it’s playing from a brightsign

If there’s subtitles a hard encoded version is best

1920x1080 is fine for everything the file size doesn't matter

Screen:

16:9 screen format

10239.5m L x 5759.5m W size of screen
