THE LIBERTIES FESTIVAL NEEDS YOU!

 The Liberties Festival is seeking to establish an Advisory Committee who will help guide its ambitious growth and development strategy over the coming years.

Key priorities include:

  • To enhance its connections with the community and ensure their needs inform development of the festival.
  • To develop as a key community, city, national and international festival
  • To connect The Liberties via its landmark people and institutions.
  • To Increase its funding and status.

We are looking for a committee who can actively support these ambitions and bring independent and objective scrutiny to the oversight of the Festival. While preference will be given to those who live or work in The Liberties, we also welcome external representation, especially where your skillset may be beneficial to our objectives.

Duties will include a minimum of five annual meetings at our headquarters at 90 Meath Street (February, April, June, September & November).

The committee will be expected to:

  • be prepared to be challenging, when necessary, while being supportive to the delivery of Festival strategy and objectives;
  • be equipped to offer considered advice on the basis of sound judgement and experience;
  • be prepared to make a time commitment to assisting the Festival outside of meetings and using knowledge and connections to support the Director.

Expressions of interest can be sent to info@thelibertiescommunityproject.ie marked 'Liberties Festival Advisory Committee' by Friday January 31. Please give us a brief outline as to who are you, your connection to the area and Festival and in what respect you feel you can help us.

We welcome applications from diverse, qualified candidates to ensure the Board is a true reflection of Irish society and shall have regard to the desirability of gender balance, diversity and inclusion on the Board.

If you struggle with written applications, please let us know so we can facilitate a chat.

We would advise you have a look at our festival programme from 2024 in advance of applying also.

All candidates will be contacted early February with further correspondence arranged as necessary with prospective candidates.
